About us

Turning point is a not for profit community welfare service designed to help those in the community in need. We aim to provide a safe and confidential environment where we can offer assistance in such matters as mental health issues, financial matters, legal, issues, accommodation, food, and employment.

We offer ongoing support through our chaplaincy service where we have the opportunity to partner with people during times of transition, offering practical assistance such as food, clothing, transport, and phone support. We have free computer usage, and free Internet access, emergency food, and offer a space for people to come in and just chat over a coffee to trained volunteers and other members of the community. This drop in and referral concept enables us to build relationships with people where we can work alongside them in their need in a very hands on way.

We partner with and are developing professional relationships though not limited to Mission Australia, Community Links, Camden Meals on Wheels, Legal Aid, Ability Options, Roam Communities, and St Vincent De Paul Society.
